compaign of the Wakochioi Project, which is the non-governmental organization who offers the assistant for
underprivileged people in many countries, Besides, there is the Integrated Tribal Development Programe,
ITDP, which has its objective to promote the fair-trade in the developing countires. Hill Tribe people are
promoted to grow the quality coffee when
Lanna Cafe' Company is established to guarantee the price and contribute the
product. Especially, the company plans to improve Thai coffee standard in order to be competitive in the
international market.
In 1997, the company offers the assistance to the coffee union in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and
Mae Hong Son by purchase the product with fair price, base on the policy of Fairtrade Labelling
Organizations International, FLO. The planters earn enough and certain income. Furthermore, the company
exports the product to Japan, U.S.A., European countires and Australia which is considered as the promoting
of 100% Arabica Coffee from Thailand. The company's specialists inform the knoledge and improve the
quality for hill tribe people in order have AAA grade quality as the objective of fair trade, which is "good
